                >> 2007 Quiltopia Winners  <<
This event was held October 5-7, 2007. See pictures and results below.

Tim Holman was the winner of the Janome sewing machine donated by Whitlocks Sewing Center for the Quilted Cottage Tour grand prize drawing. Tim is a new quilter and now has his own machine!

Denise Balch won a $100.00 gift certificate as the second prize winner. Denise toured and got her booklet stamped at all the stops on the Quilted Cottage Tour. She is planning a wild shopping spree in the Forest.
The winner of the 1st donation quilt, given by Karla Alexander, was Judy Ahmann of Medford.
The 2nd donation quilt, given by Greenbaum's Quilted Forest, has not yet been claimed.
Billie Anderson is all smiles after winning a gift basket. Each quilt entered in the Mission Mill Show and Sale received one chance on an aray of great prizes.

For her entry Nancy Cobb was the lucky winner of the grand prize "A Retreat for Two" at any of the 3 Quilted Forest getaways. Nancy and her husband will be enjoying the winter retreat at the Newport Shilo. Linda Lee, the director of H.A.N.S. actually won for her quilt entry, but "re-gifted" the prize.

The third entry winner drawn was Carrie Magee from Lake Oswego. Carrie won the "Table Topper Kit" donated by The Cotton Patch in Keizer.

Plan to enter a quilt next year in the Mission Mill Show and Sale or go on the Quilted Cottage Tour and you too could win a great prize!

In celebration of our 107 Year Anniversary we're featuring some fond memories of years past.  Come take a walk down memory lane with us - and submit your memories too!

Home of the Brave Quilt Project -- State of Oregon

This is a nationwide project whose mission is to provide a replica of a US Sanitary Commission Civil War quilt to the mothers, or other family members, of every soldier lost in the war in Iraq or Afghanistan. The pattern for Oregon is a very simple Album Cross "X", and measures 48" x 84" the same size as the Civil War Soldiers bedrolls, as well as the cots used in field hospitals. Quilters made more than 250,000 quilts for soldiers leaving for the battlefield and only five of these quilts are known to have survived. Sometimes the quilts were auctioned to raise funds for the U.S. Sanitatary Commission which later became known as the American Red Cross. For information on participating see our shop display or go to www.oregonhomeofthebrave.org

The Quilted Forest carries 100% cotton fabric from Kaffe Fasset, April Cornell, Deb Strain, Bonnie Sullivan, Michael Miller, Moda, P&B, RJR, Timeless Treasures, Benertex, Hoffman, Free Spirit, Maywood, Andover, Alexander Henry and more. Our batiks are high quality and color saturated. We also have a wonderful selection of notions, rulers, cutting mats, books, quilting supplies, batting and interfacing. Our store will inspire you to create amazing quilts, and give you the guidance needed to succeed.
